Job Description

KONE is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join its Delivery Operations team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this leadership role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to contractual requirements. You will work closely with customers, internal departments, subcontractors, and senior management to coordinate project activities and achieve successful outcomes.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning project schedules, managing budgets, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the project. You will also ensure smooth coordination between the sales, engineering, installation, procurement, and maintenance teams while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering or construction projects. Experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry is highly preferred. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least eight years of project management experience. PMP certification and proficiency in both English and Arabic will be considered strong advantages.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned projects.
• Deliver projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, installation, procurement, and operations teams.
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
• Prepare project reports for customers and senior management.
• Identify operational and financial risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Manage project cash flow and financial forecasting.
• Ensure proper project documentation and maintain lessons learned records.
• Lead project teams while encouraging collaboration and accountability.
• Support smooth handovers between sales, operations, customers, and maintenance teams.
• Promote workplace safety by ensuring compliance with KONE safety standards and customer requirements.

Qualification

Required Education

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
• Or another closely related discipline

A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent internationally recognized project management qualification will be considered a significant advantage.

Required Experience

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 8 years of professional project management experience.
• Previous experience managing large commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience within the elevator or vertical transportation industry is highly preferred.
• Proven success delivering projects from planning through completion.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and customer expectations.
• Strong understanding of project governance and risk management practices.
