Job Description

The IT Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that all office technology, networking systems, and hardware operate smoothly. The successful candidate will manage internet connectivity, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, security systems, laptops, desktop devices, and vendor relationships while providing technical support to employees.

This role requires someone who enjoys both hands-on technical work and collaborating with different departments to improve business operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Manage office network infrastructure, routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and internet connectivity.
• Maintain firewall configurations and VPN services for secure communication.
• Support physical security systems including CCTV cameras and access control solutions.
• Coordinate with internet service providers and technology vendors.
• Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and office devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Monitor IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and inventory.
• Implement IT policies, user access controls, and security procedures.
• Work alongside cybersecurity teams to strengthen internal security.
• Plan future infrastructure upgrades based on company growth.
• Maintain documentation and ensure vendor service agreements are fulfilled.

Qualification

Required Education

Candidates should preferably have one of the following educational qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in Network Engineering or a related technical field
• Equivalent education combined with relevant professional experience will also be considered.

Required Experience

Candidates applying for this position should meet the following experience requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT management, IT operations, or a similar technical role.
• Proven experience managing office network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Experience administering VPNs, firewalls, and network security solutions.
• Hands-on experience supporting CCTV systems, access control systems, and physical security technologies.
• Experience providing desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device support.
• Experience working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and managing vendor relationships and service agreements.
• Strong background in IT troubleshooting, hardware deployment, and software support.
• Experience implementing IT policies, user access management, and security procedures.
• Experience planning and maintaining IT infrastructure upgrades and technology improvements.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, startup, or technology-driven environment is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting hybrid or remote work environments is considered an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Intune, or Jamf are a plus but not mandatory.
