Role Overview
The Security Manager will lead all security operations at Doha Festival City Mall, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and information against physical, operational, and environmental threats. This is a senior leadership position requiring coordination with city authorities, law enforcement, civil defense, and multiple internal departments.
Success in this role demands strong emergency decision-making, structured reporting capabilities, and a track record of managing large-scale security environments — ideally within retail or mall settings.

- Manage personal security planning for mall visitors, staff, families, and VIP guests.

- Notify relevant service providers of security vulnerabilities and implement protective protocols for classified materials.
- Report criminal information to authorities and provide court testimony as required.
Event Management
- Plan and manage traffic, security, and parking operations during mall events in collaboration with police and civil defense.
- Chair all-department briefings one week before and on the day of major events.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event site inspections and submit detailed reports within two working days.
Preventive Measures & Crisis Management
- Confirm and monitor monthly security attendance and maintain alignment with the overall mall security strategy.
- Prepare incident analysis reports and manage the crisis management matrix.
- Monitor and respond to risks including vandalism, theft, fire hazards, and major leaks.
- Coordinate with civil defense and police for effective incident response.
- Conduct monthly Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) analysis.
Traffic Management
- Review and maintain traffic signage and conduct quarterly safety surveys of driveways and parking areas.
- Coordinate with government and city traffic teams to ensure smooth flow in and around the mall.
- Manage abandoned vehicle policies and heavy vehicle contractor access points.
- Develop and share traffic strategies for all major events with relevant stakeholders.
Reporting
- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports to keep senior management informed of security and operational developments.
- Provide weekly updates to the AGM and compile a comprehensive monthly summary report.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in security management, preferably in a mall or retail environment.
- Formal training in Senior Security Management from a recognized institution.
- Prior service in a National Security agency, Police Force, or similar organization is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing large, diverse security teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office for reporting and presentations.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during events, emergencies, or peak periods.
