Qatar Airways is looking for an experienced Senior Project Specialist – MRO to help deliver important business development projects within its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) division.

This position is much more than tracking project timelines. You’ll play an important part in planning new initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, managing budgets, identifying risks, and ensuring every project moves smoothly from the planning stage to completion. You’ll work alongside engineering, finance, procurement, IT, contracts, and other business units to make sure projects achieve their goals on time and within budget.

Senior Project Specialist – MRO Jobs In Qatar

As a Senior Project Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and coordinating MRO business development projects from start to finish.
• Monitoring project progress and making sure milestones are achieved on schedule.
• Preparing regular reports and presenting project updates to management and key stakeholders.
• Coordinating meetings with internal departments and external partners to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and helping maintain financial transparency.
• Supporting investment proposals by preparing business cases and demonstrating project value.
• Developing project roadmaps that support the long-term goals of the MRO division.
• Working closely with departments such as IT, Finance, Procurement, CAMO, Engineering, and Contracts to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Acting as the main communication point between project teams and business stakeholders.
• Ensuring project activities comply with company policies, service agreements, and contractual requirements.
• Assisting with vendor coordination, invoicing, payment tracking, and commercial documentation.
• Identifying potential project risks before they become problems and implementing practical solutions.
• Keeping project documentation accurate, organized, and up to date throughout every phase.
• Improving project management processes by recommending better tools, systems, and working methods.
• Encouraging project management best practices through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
• Supporting departmental objectives and contributing to continuous business improvement.
• Supervising team members when required, helping with training, development, and succession planning.
• Mentoring national talent and supporting career development initiatives within the organization.

Qualification

Required Education

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have one of the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Vocational Qualification, or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.

OR

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Required Experience

A minimum of 6 years of related work experience.

Required Skills

  Strong experience managing projects from planning through delivery.

  Practical knowledge of project management methodologies.

  Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Clarizen.

  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
